Compactness
Nothing is superfluous: the bedrooms, laundry room, and living spaces flow into one another within a compact plan, where each room finds its rightful place. This discipline in the organisation frees up the covered outdoor space, which becomes the true extension of the living area. The house extends far beyond its walls, without ever increasing in size.
Light
Skylights punctuate the roof, capturing the sky at different moments of the day. The entrance awakens with the morning sun from the east; the living area is bathed in southern light; the kitchen and dining area come alive in the setting sun from the west. This sequence transforms the living space hour after hour, with never two identical moments.
Time
The same room changes its character depending on the time of day and the season. Winter casts a low, golden light across it; summer brings a more vertical and intense brightness. Living in this house means inhabiting a place in perpetual motion, where light, more than the walls, defines the space.
